Questions (Past)

What needs does your idea fill?
The needs my idea fills are important and large. The creative skills that a toddler has are lost overtime without nourishment and practice. Complex or creative solutions to problems are looked down upon in academic classes, and even in creative classes like English or Spanish, there is no room to achieve full potential. This is why we must design a class that enhances this, that leaves students to reach their full potential.
What would teachers, students, parents, and administrators be motivated with to make this change?
Teachers and students would probably find this fun. As for more specific reasons, teachers would probably enjoy spending more one-on-one time with students, helping them grasp concepts better. Administrators would see that this would help their school seem revolutionary and modern. Parents, when they find out about research on this topic, will most likely be supportive of this (this applies to everyone).
5 specific ideas of how this will change the classroom, how it will be.
1.  The classes would most probably be in the morning, since research shows the brain is more active at this time.
2. Teachers may arrange to meet students in this time,
3. This would not be a class, but rather a free period to go around classes. Alternatively, it could be used to catch up on homework.
4. This would be graded by reviewing in the end of the year what you have done and what achievements (a portfolio keeping track of what you've done would be ideal).
5. Other classes would probably be shortened.
